Do any listservers have any information about a recent court case involving
a union rep using the company email system to communicate with employees?
The company involved may have dismissed or reprimanded the employee/union
rep, but the court ruled that in this case the union rep was not aware of
the corporate email policy forbidding internal email for union purposes.
I am nearly certain it has been raised on the list or in Peter's
in-the-news, but a search of the list's archives has not revealed it.
Further internet searching has also drawn a blank - gee the 'Net can be
frustrating - certainly newspapers that "archive" everyting and don't allow
date sensitive searching.
If anyone has anything about this case, I would appreciate it.
David
