Seems to me that the Housing Bureau in Chicago did the same thing in
1997. I seem to recall getting a little uptight then. Guess it is an
understandable, and lucrative, practice. If I recall correctly, ARMA had
no say in the matter.
Keep in mind, folks, that an ARMA Conference is very small potatoes in
the big cities with big convention centers. There's not a whole lot we
can do to leverage things when we're only bringing 2000 people to towns
that can host 60,000 to 100,000 comfortably.
