There is also the "dam" tour of Hoover Dam--well worth the time to go out
there. So there are things to do besides gamble and go to shows.

Nothing wrong with football being a topic of conversation. I lived in North
Carolina for 12 years and drove to Missouri (through TN, KY, & IL) to visit
relatives many times during those years. I believe W. NC and E. Tennessee
to be one of the most beautiful regions in the world. The beauty of that
area rivals the Sierra Nevada region of N. Nevada and N. California. Lake
Tahoe, Lake Almanor, Eagle Lake, and Bucks Lake are "alpine lake"
treasures, as are Donner's Lake and some others that I have not yet
explored.

By the way, the Ponderosa Ranch is just off the NE shore of Lake Tahoe;
state Hwy 28. It is pretty touristy though. Las Vegas has a lot of neon
and glittery stuff.

Best regards, Steve

If y'all came from the backwoods of Tennessee like myself, where
everyone counts on football as the main focus of conversation,
