Three scenarios on offer for
(a) my current assignment, a large utility company 2000-
(b), my previous assignment, one of the bix six accounting firms 1999-2000
(c) the one before that, a medium financial services company (insurance,
superannuation, funds management, trusts) 1997-99
How large (in terms of disk space) can your e-mail box
be before your account is disabled or you are
otherwise forced to clean up e-mail?
a. By default, the mailboxes are on the C: drives (so they are not backed up).
Mine is 49 mb and growing on a 10g disk, I have an overall limit of 30mb on my
network drive but more junior people have only 10.
b. Don't know, see answer to next question.
c. Until the whole thing slowed down and IT would email around asking people to
delete if they could!
How long is e-mail retained by your system (for
systems that treat all e-mail equally)?
a. No time limit
b. All email older than one month is automatically deleted on the first of each
month. Users must save elsewhere if they wish to retain anything
c. No time limit
What is the maximum message size? (Either in terms of
actual message length or including any attachments.)
a. 5 mb
b. 5 mb I think
c. Not stated but I suspect 5 mb.
What is the maximum message size when multiple
recipients are involved?
No difference, see previous question
Cheers
Glenn
