Assistant Records Manager, Harvard Medical School
Responsible for consulting with all offices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of records systems by creating, advising, and training on records policies and procedures and on the creation, arrangement, disposition, preservation, transfer, and retrieval of administrative, research, and academic records in all media; conducting training and outreach programs; developing records schedules, policies, classification schemes, and uniform procedures; managing transfer and retrieval paperwork; and other activities related to ensuring ready access to on-site and off-site records.
Qualifications: MLS degree from an ALA-accredited library program and/or a MA degree preferred (ideally in archives, information science, or history); professional experience, preferably in an academic institution, working in an archives or records management program.
Compensation: Harvard University offers a competitive program of benefits. Compensation is dependent on qualifications and experience.
