Peter, you are the web search master! I don't know that everyone out there
is as good at gleaning information from the internet as you are.

Sorry but this doesn't wash in today's world of Internet search
engines such
as Google, All the Web, Vivisimo, and thousands more. One can make a
general
stab by using these search engines and will in all likelihood get
some very
good hits.
For example using the exact phrase 'records retention guidelines'
returned
the following from All the Web and Google
All the Web: 205 hits
Google: 393 hits
exact phrase: "records retention" returned the following results
Google: 29,600 hits
All the Web: 16,377
On another list to which I belong someone asked a particular
question I
didn't have a clue as to where to begin, but by using the above
search
engines I quickly came up with some valid information. Don't forget
that part
of our job description is assisting folks in finding records within
our
organizations. So we should be able to at least do a very simple
web-search.
