It's snowing here to today so I will address this. Vinyl is dead. I read
about in the newspaper. ND should find out about it sometime next year. High
end merchandise will always be available because folks with money can spend
it on whatever they want. The rest of us rely on what we can afford.
The question is not whether the turntable will be around in fifty years (I
should bet you just to see you try to collect) but rather how many people
will care that it is around. We do not determine the media type we manage
the information that uses it.
Market penetration is not the determining factor. I don't know if any one
factor is. If anything maybe market share? It is a fickle world we work in.
