I have found that for tasks such as this, it is better to contract it out
then to have your own staff do it. As for as motivating staff it is the
same scenario as performing inventory work, which can be just as tiresome,
mundane and tedious. I usually have the staff work half days on this type
of work and do other work in the morning or afternoon. Another trick is to
have them interchange or alternate roles so as they are not performing the
same task repeatedly. If all else fails beer and pizza is usually a good
incentive.
