An archivist is needed to work on a multi-year contract with a large
prestigious government library in Washington, DC. The position will start
on January 1, 2003. This position involves working with rare maps. The
archivist will be involved with appraisal, arrangement and describing
archival records. Will be writing finding aids for maps. This is a great
opportunity for a new graduate that would like to pursue work in the
archival field. Requires a master's degree in library science, history or
archival studies or a related field. This position will have guidance from
senior staff. Requires 10 + months of experience working in an archival
