1. ROBOTICS ROADSHOW
This Wednesday, April 2, Scott Jantz will be giving an exciting and
interactive presentation about robotics and its real-life application in
problem-solving situations. Scott is a former UF Honors Student who worked
for years in UF's Machine Intelligence Lab in the College of Engineering.
He also has taught a graduate level class called "Intelligent Machine Design
Lab." Scott will be showing off a few of his robots, explaining how they
work, and talking about what went into their design.
The event will take place at 8:00pm in Hume Classroom 118. Seats are

2. OPEN-AIR OPEN-MIC NIGHT
Join talent from all over campus as they perform under the stars behind Hume
West Residence Hall this Thursday, April 3, from 9pm until 11pm! Come and
take part in the thrill of performing, or just come and enjoy the great
talent. The microphone is your friend! Plus... there will be free pizza
and other great food! Come a few minutes early if you want to make sure
that you will be able to perform.
3. HUME AREA BEAUTIFICATION DAY
Join the SHO Community Service Committee this Saturday, April 5, to help
clean up the Basketball and Raquetball courts next to Hume Field and other
areas around the Honors College. If you're interested, meet the committee
in the Honors College Commons at 11:00am. Plans include picking up trash,
pulling back vegetation, and whatever else needs to be done to get the
courts looking good. Lunch will be provided.
