1. END-OF-YEAR BARBECUE BASH!!! WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23
Lawn behind Hume West Residence Hall, 6-9pm
One of the year's biggest and best events!
Featuring Performances by Little Astronaut, Zach Rose, & Agent 99
Delicious food from Sonny's Famous BBQ!
Slip-n-slide, water guns, volleyball, Frisbee, and more!
ALL HONORS STUDENTS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND!

2. ALBERT G. RAYBUN SCHOLARSHIP FOR PRE-MED STUDENTS: This scholarship is
endowed by the late Eva Rabun in memory of her husband, Albert G. Raybun.
Captain Raybun graduated from UF in 1940, receiving a bachelor's degree in
education.

Minimum grants are $ 500; maximum $ 1000. Applicants must have a minimum
3.00 GPA and be enrolled in a clearly pre-medical course of study. Students
should apply at the end of their junior year and the award is for support in
their senior year. This is a NEED-BASED award and merit award. The amount
awarded will be based on the amount of unmet need certified by the Office of
Student Financial Affairs.

Applications are due May 1 in 140 Tigert. Applications forms are available
from that office. The application must include a letter stating "the
circumstances for requesting aid."

3. RECURSO FUNDRAISER AT CoLDSTONE'S:  Want to take a break before finals
even begin? Come and do so at Coldstone's this Thursday at 6-7 pm. Proceeds
from ice cream sales will go to benefit RECURSO. RECURSO is a non-profit
organization and newly formed student organization that garners donations
for children in underdeveloped countries who suffer from cancer, AIDS, or
malnutrition. For more information on RECURSO go to grove.ufl.edu/~recurso

4. BAMSA SKATE PARTY: Ready for some good ol' fashioned 80's fun? BAMSA will
have a farewell party Wednesday, APRIL 23rd at 6:30 at the Skate Station!
It's $2 to skate until 8:30 and for another $2 you can have all you can eat
PIZZA! You can meet us at the blue circular couches on the 1st floor at 6:15
if you need a ride, or meet up at 6:30 if you're driving yourself to skate
station. Please come! It'll be tons of fun, and our last chance to meet up
before the end of the semester. Bring all of your friends for a
roller-skatin' pizza eatin' eighties-lovin' kinda night! Any questions,

5. MY THANKS TO SHO: Josh Maurer and all the good folks who have helped with
SHO this year deserve a great round of applause for the terrific programming
they have done this year. Honors looks forward to working with next year's

6. NEW YORK TIMES FOR FREE: We have managed finally to get some copies of
the NYT delivered to 140 Tigert every weekday.
There should also be some in Hume. The NYT is a good habit to get into!
