referred to resides here in Turlington Hall--not much use to you at a
distance.   To find out more about any one of the conferences, use its keywords,
place, institution, etc., with a good search engine.  I recommend www.google.com

World War II - After 60 Years - Siena College - June 5-6, 2003.  Call for papers
for Wolrd War II - 60 Year Perspective - June 3-4, 2004.  Deadline for
submissions: November 15, 2003.   Also for more information, see display.

An International George Bernard Shaw Conference - University of South Florida -
Conference Topic: Shaw in the Here and Now.  Deadline for abstracts: October 1,
2003.  There are conference brochures in the English Office up at the front desk

The 8th International Arthur Miller Conference - call for papers.  Conference
topic: Miller & Middle America.  Conference to be held October 3-4, 2003.

Southern Women Writers Conference - Fifth Biennial Southern Women Writers
Conference - invites critical and creative submissions that explore the full
range of approaches to self-location and dislocation used by women in and of the
South.  Submissions are due no later than July 1, 2003.   For complete

Purdue University - Renaissance Studies Program - invites papers that explore
any aspect of Renaissance prose for their second annual conference.  Please send
350-400 word abstracts by June 1, 2003.  Conference will be held October 16-17,

Cortland State University of New York College at Cortland - call for papers -
13th Annual Central New York Conference on Language and Literature, October
26-28, 2003.  There is quite

Cortland State University of New York College at Cortland has a possible
publishing opportunity for professors and qualified advanced graduate students
who may be working in the field of Irish literature.  For complete instructions,

Call for Graduate-Student Papers: Revelations: Flannery O'Connor, The Visionary
and the Vernacular, a symposium to be held in Milledgeville, GA, October 8-12.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem - Partial Answers: A Journal of Literature
and the History of Ideas.  Partial Answers, a biannual journal sponsored by the
School of Literatures of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is devoted to the
interdisciplinary study of literature and the history of ideas..  The second
issue, now under preparation for June 2003, will be devoted to literature and

Cortland College of the State University of New York - 12th Annual Central New
York Conference on Language and Literature, Call for papers.  See all

The Seventh Annual Screenwriter's Project sponsored by Cyclone Productions, Inc.
  The Project also aims to encourage both experienced and first time writers,
enabling further development of the art of screen writing.  Each year at least
three writers are eligible to receive a $5,000 grant and a possible production
