If I recall correctly, I *did* hear some stuff on 10m just before I
left, and the cruddy weather and time of day probably conspired together
to cause the silence on the lower HF bands. Let's not give up hope
*just* yet! One thing'd be nice to have on hand is a General class
licensee to try and transmit from the Kenwood over the dipole. :-)
Another fun thing to try: hook the G5RV to the Icom 706's tuner and see
if it'll load up for 6m. Yes, I've something of an obsession with 50MHz.
