All,

Following are the results of our survey, which was originally announced
9/26/2003. Apologies in advance for the presentation; if you prefer a Word
or RTF file, please contact me directly.

The purpose of the survey was to gather data (e.g., collection size, human
and financial resources devoted to the collection, services provided, etc.)
on the general management of architectural and engineering drawing
collections, with a focus on A/E drawing collections at colleges and
universities. Our purpose was to gather information for budget backup, in
order to benchmark our services and collections against others i.e., I
tried to keep the survey short and focused to suit an immediate purpose.

The survey announcement was:
    * Posted to the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Architectural
Records Roundtable listserv
    * Posted to the records management listserv
    * Posted to the Boston Society of Architects Design Librarians listserv
    * Posted to the SAA Visual Materials Section listserv
    * Posted to the SAA Records Management Roundtable listserv
    * Forwarded to the SAA College and University Archives Section chairperson
    * Forwarded to the Association of University Real Estate Officials
(AUREO) listserv
    * Forwarded to the Association for Records Management Associates (ARMA)
A/E ISG chairperson
The survey was closed 10/17/2003, n=59. Note: first number indicates total
response; the second number indicates the response from academic
institutions. N=59

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me off list
