I don't want to lose my "genuine Listserv" status, but I "have" to leave
town early. I don't "want" to leave town early. But if anyone wants to
"belly up" and "knock a few back" with me at the Welcome Party, I'll be
there!!

Now Fred is an example of a genuine Listserv member.
First off he reads the Listserv. That is critical.
Two, he responds with authority whenever a question is asked that he can
help you with. Three, he does not get mad when certain members of the List
write really long posts at 2:00 AM in the morning, that lay in wait for him
when he comes into the office in the morning to read his email, and, most
importantly; He has a sense of humor.
So the line forms behind Fred at the Chowder Bar.
Now Tracy Black may lose her genuine status for leaving town just when we
need her most. But we at the Listserv are very forgiving.
If you went to the Web Site Tracy posted, you learned that it would be a sin
to leave Boston without seeing Faneuil Hall and the Quincy Market.
