Dear Colleagues,
Ain't life grand!
Just when we thought re had covered all the bases with the new Nation
and International Standards for Records Management and other excellent
work in this profession across the word we find that Uncle Bill Gates
wants us all to retire as we will have no information to manage.
As stated in an article published on line today October 23, 2003 by
New.Com MICROSOFT'S new email system has attracted the attention of
global authorities amid concerns a self-destruct feature could help
conceal paper trails [WHAT PAPER? - My comment] in the event of legal
investigations. This feature is incorporated in Microsoft newly released
Office 2003 software.

for your review.
Let's all go to the beach, or is that Florida and put up our feet and
have a beer or three as the emails we now receive in the Tens, Hundreds
and Thousands will merrily delete themselves in hours, days or weeks
without the need for our assistance and Retention & Disposal Schedules.
Gee it's nice out here by the pool in the sun!
I WISH!
Yours Sincerely, Laurie Varendorff
