On September 30, 2003 the Information Management Directorate (IMD) of Canada
Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) obtained approval from the Board of
Management for its new Information Management (IM) Policy.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that information under the control
of the CCRA is effectively managed and safeguarded throughout its life cycle
from creation, collection, organization, maintenance, sharing, access and
use to final disposal based on legislative and business requirements.
