RAIN  has carried a lot of stories about this case since it was first
announced. One of the more recent stories concerned a company official stating that
they had not sent out an email stopping destruction.

Quattrone alleged that the stop destruction notice didn't apply to him since
it involved investigations into IPOs which (according to him) he was not
involved in. However a radio report stated that an email had been found from
Quattrone to an individual offering the individual a chance to get into an IPO.

This  particular case was not a cut-n-dry as originally thought, however that
does not mean you shouldn't keep it in repretoire of stories for why your
company has a RM program.
