I know I'm going to get "flamed" for this but ...
I've already apologized privately to Mr. Kurilecz now would like to
apologize to the listserv members. I was under the impression I was only
replying back to Jim. I did not know the listserv was receiving our
exchanges? Normally I'm a "lurker" and rarely respond/comment on most of
the exchanges, sure enough, the first time I do ...
But may I say since I have been a member of this listserv [mainly a lurker]
I have observed quite a few "frivolous" "non-records management" exchanges
between listserv members on a regular basis? I have not seen anything said
regarding these exchanges [unless they were done privately?]
Please do not take this the wrong way, I'm not against this or upset [that's
why there is a delete button] but feel "what is good for the goose, is good
for the gander" or "Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones".
Please rest assured all future exchanges regarding "personal" or
"non-records management" issues and concerns will be one on one only.

I also would be interested in the response to the question below. I am
currently working on a records, retention and destruction program for my
firm - In addition, I would like to know if any members have recently
completed implementing such a program or are in the midst of doing so -
third, I would like to know if anyone recently has formalized an timeline
for such a program. Thank you.

I am looking for some language to include in my firms engagement letters
with clients that makes them aware of our firms record retention policy. If
anyone has any of this language that they would be willing to share it would
be greatly appreciated.
