The Association of Record Managers and Administrators, International
Metropolitan New York City Chapter
PROUDLY PRESENTS:
Christopher J. Olsen, CRM
Chief, Records and Classification Management Group,
CIA
The Records Manager - A Little Frog in a Big Pond
Breakfast Meeting, Tuesday, November 11, 2003
TOPIC:
Come hear Chris tell us what he's done as the Agency's senior records
officer and architect of the CIA electronic records program. This is a
practical, sensible, examination of what works and what doesn't. Come
join us to examine how CIA manages records, where it is today, and where
it's going. Hey, he's giving away SECRETs...even that is worth the
price of breakfast.
SPEAKER:
Christopher J. Olsen is the Chief, Records and Classifications Group in
CIA's Office of Information Management. He is an officer in the Director
of Central Intelligence's Senior Intelligence Service and the CIA's
senior records management authority. He oversees the Agency's records
management program and the career development of one of the largest
cadres of professional information management (IM) officers in Federal
government. Mr. Olsen's responsibilities include oversight of the CIA
electronic records initiatives, including one of the largest deployments
of a records management in Federal government. His group is responsible
for the development and implementation of the Agency's metadata
standard, standard taxonomy and electronic recordkeeping system
certification based on DoD 5015.2 - which CIA helped formulate.
