You might also be interested to have a look at a classification system, now
being used as a low end RM system, at www.termtree.com.au/interm/interm.html

This product is an add in for Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint and uses
a classification scheme based on ISO15489 to load meta dat to each stored
document then file according to the selected classification. Includes a File
Finder feature to allow documents to be retrieved.
