Hi all:

I'm a new member to this list. I recently downloaded a trial version of
ucinet and have been tinkering with it and had no problems importing,
analyzing and drawing network diagrams of my first data spreadsheet
converted from Excel a week or so ago. However, I've encountered some
sort of problem that I can't seem to correct despite trying different
import features, cutting and pasting from excel and doing everything
short of actually recreating the spreadsheet in ucinet. I can't
figure-out the source of the problem and am hoping someone out there
will have a good suggestion based on the following error message that I
received "could not convert variant type (string) into type (double)".

The only thing different that I tried from the first successful try a
week or so ago was to have values of 2 in addition to values of 1. I'd
like to be able to create these tables in excel and import them
including values that aren't simply dichotomous. The labels also didn't
seem to convert as easily as the first time I tried it. I must have
been in the right zone because everything worked beautifully a couple
weeks back and now I've been wasting way too much time trying to get to
correct things.

Help.

Thanks - Kim
