Subject: USR1 signals generated by Windows XP

I'm having a bad day with google or something. I can't seem to find a
page that describes under what conditions Windows XP will send a USR1
signal to an application on shutdown/logout/reboot. Perhaps it's because
USR1 is the unix name for the signal and I just don't know what the
Windows XP name for it is. At any rate, it's a signal that tells the
application to shutdown gracefully.

If anybody has any ideas, I'd like to know.
