Anybody ever use something called the Universal Imaging Utility?

You might be able to get a single 2000/XP image to work on most GX
systems (SYSPREP w/all hardware refernces removed) but expect that you
would need to install afterwards updated drivers from Dell as most
have
different hardware (NIC, video, hard drive controller, etc.). Check
and
see if the hardware (NIC, video, hard drive controller) match a GX260
or
GX270 and can you probably use that image. It may not be perfect but
defintely could work. My recommendation though is that if you are
going
to support more than a few of them, build a nice clean image and
sysprep
it (leave hardware settings in).

I recall from a Dell sales thingy on campus that all GX systems
_should_
be image compatible.

If this is not the case, I hope someone posts back to the list.
