Bird Islands, Nassau Sound, Duval Co.  Black terns arriving with many in full alternate plumage, Short-billed dowitchers returning, ditto for Western Sandpipers, Black-bellied plovers, Whimbrel, and a handful of Red Knots. Wilson's plovers conducting their annual, post breeding, concentration on Big Bird's wash flat with 100+ tallied this morning. Common tern nos. increasing along the ocean shoreline. Three Reddish egret (one white, two red morphs) in the sound. No early returning Piping plover on this survey.
