Hey Everybirdy,
Wow that water is rising out there at the Refuge. Another inch or two and
Pumphouse Road will be under water!
Managed to navigate the "pond" near the pumphouse itself and take a peek
out behind it.
In the impoundment to the right as you walk out were:
10 American White Pelicans
1 Gull-billed Tern
2 Forster's Terns
1 Laughing Gull
2 Osprey
38 Pied-billed Grebes
Heading towards Blackpoint, in the dead trees off to the right was a
3rd/4th year Bald Eagle.
Seeing more and more Palm Warblers along the dike roads. Speaking of dike
roads, East Gator Creek is quite torn up from the rain, it's navigable but
rough. I did manage it in a Corolla, but that's only because there's rocks in
my head! LOL Yes, I know some of you agree!! ha-ha!
