My Cingular cell service has been going down hill for about a month or
so and I have made several calls to Customer Care but no one was able to
give me an answer.
I called again Thursday night and the customer care lady put me in touch
with a tech person.
The tech told me that Cingular is in the middle of replacing all of the
old ATT towers in the area and it looks like the only tower left
operational right now is probably one at the campus.
 
The tech said that it hopefully would only take about a week longer and
it should be all better.
When it finished, Cingular subscribers should have the latest and
greatest that Cingular has to offer right here in little ol Gainesville.
