Lee Ann:

First, for the next phase, don't leave the QC until after everything is
done. It is better to find problems before you get too far along.

I am assuming that each person is able to bring up the images and indices on
their system. You are going to want a minimum level of screen resolution
and quality, based upon the density of your images.

You need to make up review lists and a review sheets. The review list
spells out for each person which documents they are going to check. You
should try to do a sample if at all possible, and figure out what the
acceptable error rate will be. The review sheet lists the results observed
and includes:
- review of the image (it should match the original document and be as
legible as reasonable)
- check of the indices versus the document.
And reports any errors found, so you can profile errors.

Subject: [RM] QA/QC Imaging Query

My company has just finished the first portion of a large records scanning
project. Our 4 person team has begun the QA/QC process of the imaging
results. I'm interested to know if anyone has any experience with this and
might be able to suggest procedures or work flow methods.
In other words we are a group of people with varying information management
backgrounds and are flying by the seats of our pants. Each with our own
system which makes the progression slow to say the least.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
