HONORS ANNOUNCEMENTS

1.	ANNOUNCEMENT: Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi:
Tapped to join Phi Beta Kappa (Liberal Arts majors) or Phi Kappa Phi
(all majors)? Don't just toss the invitation into the trash, thinking
this is one more solicitation for your hard-earned cash. Getting
selected for these honoraries is a great accomplishment and recognized
by grad schools, law and med schools as meaning you are among the very
best students at your school. It is especially an honor to be selected
as a junior. Both of these will be noted on your transcript and will
make a very nice line on your resume. Both these honoraries also have
some scholarship money for grad school, etc., so if you are a member
take a look at their national website to see what is available. Phi Beta
Kappa: www.pbk.org (UF chapter: www.honors.ufl.edu/pbk); Phi Kappa Phi:
www.phikappaphi.org (UF chapter: www.honors.ufl.edu/pkp)
