Calendar Work Group,

Thank you all for your contributions to the beginning of the calendar
project. I appreciate your support, dedication and especially your
collaborative approach to determining solutions. I am also impressed
with the focus and on time delivery of the results.

After reviewing the project strategy document, I accept the
recommendations of the calendar working group. As a result of your
report, I would like to charter the existing group to handle this next
phase.

I propose the following charter for Phase II:

1) As proposed in your report, review open source alternatives for
calendar software and recommend the best option to meet the needs of UF.

2) Develop an engagement plan that solicits additional input and
representation from across UF as required. Please be sure to
incorporate others who might not know about the project yet have
interest and connections to its outcomes.

3) Prepare and deliver a draft implementation plan including people,
timeline and costs that are needed for initial roll out and on-going
maintenance. Consider phasing the implementation such as updating the
current version and then adding new options in phased steps.

4) Prepare an outreach and communication plan related for roll out and
maintenance. This can be part of the implementation plan.

I will need your group to determine the timeline, but I would like to
see the implementation begin by summer.

Thanks again for your great work.

Marc
