I am trying to establish what types of socks we should be recommending to people with diabetes or neuropathy, cotton or synthetic mix sock?.
There are differing opinions from medical people and the manufacturers. I have been in the opinion that a cotton sock didn't keep the foot as dry when it gets damp, or isn't as efficient in "wicking" away moisture as the acrylic versions like coolmax, lycra etc.
I also recommend the usual features - non constricting top and seamless. I have also been suggesting the silver thread sock as a hypoallergenic or anti-microbial,alternative. What are your thoughts on the silver sock?
