Hey Everybirdy,
I took a leisurely morning drive along Blackpoint today with Giacomo.
Scanned for the E. Wigeon but no luck, truthfully I didn't work very hard
though. Giacomo dictates how long I'll spend in one spot!
Plenty of Pintails, Wigeon and spotted a few Gadwalls. Haven't seen the
Snow Geese but I assume they've been flushed out. :-(
A few Wilson's Snipe spotted between stops3 and 4, a quick glimpse of the
Clapper Rail at stop 4. Several Yellowlegs at Stop 8.
A walk to the ObservationTower produced a Marsh Wren, several Common
Yellowthroats and an accommodating Clapper Rail.
Found another Clapper Rail just before Stop 12. So Clappers were the
lucky bird today, needless to say.
Sure I'd have seen more earlier but I was out there from 9:15 to 11:00 or
so.
See you out there.
