Endeavor is scheduled for lift-off tonight (early Tuesday morning) on a
16-day space station assembly mission. Launch time is 2:28am.
Weather so far looks acceptable. However, a few clouds between here and
there may make it difficult for us to see the launch from Gainesville.
Late night launches can sometimes be heard (outdoors) and felt
(indoors) from as far away as Gainesville. The waves will take anywhere from
12-16 minutes past launch to arrive here.
There are no easy passover opportunities to see Endeavor and the Space
Station until March 23. The only evening passover (higher than 22 degrees
from the horizon) will occur on March 24, and another possibly March 26. By
then, the shuttle and station will have parted ways... barring a delay of
