I believe that is correct. I've uninstalled Foxit and can't remember if
the app asked me if it wanted me to save the docs after I opened them or
not. And I don't think you can edit documents without the full version
(the demo watermarks the documents, which I know I didn't do).

Hi Everyone -
A few months ago, on Peter's recommendation I swapped out my Adobe
Acrobat reader with Foxit. Foxit IS very versatile and I liked not
necessarily being under the thumb of Adobe; no complaints until I
forwarded a few external documents that I'd opened with Foxit to a few
folks. Turns out that by opening at least SOME documents with Foxit, it
renders them UNREADABLE by Adobe Acrobat & Reader 9.0 (as well as,
apparently, some versions of Adobe Reader 8). Reluctantly, I have
reloaded Adobe Reader and am hoping that I can recover a few of the docs
that will only open with Foxit now....has anyone else run into this
issue?
