4. TOUCHDOWN FOR THE LAC
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As part of a novel fundraising approach, Florida football fans can pledge a certain amount to the Smathers Libraries every time the Gators score a touchdown (a quarter, a dollar, etc.).
It is now possible to designate an area within the Libraries to which the donation should be forwarded (such as the Latin American Collection).
Please see http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/giving/UFAA_UFLib_footballchallenge.pdf for more information, and http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/giving/pledgeform_football.html to make a pledge.
"Based upon the 2009 Florida Football, a total of 55 touchdowns were scored in the 2009 regular season of 12 games. At $1 per touchdown, your 2009 pledge would have only been $55."
