My university does not have any centralized ERMS (or a file plan) nor any plans to implement one. However, I get asked all the time for a session on how to manage email. We're an Outlook/Exchange server shop that allows (and encourages) .PST files. I know it's not the most ideal set-up but it's what I'm working with. We currently have no universal policies that affect all users other than that if the user chooses not to Auto-Archive or manually archive their mailboxes/folders then the contents are deleted after 90 days. Hence why most people choose to archive.
Keeping that in mind, I'd like to put together a training presentation on the best ways to manage your email inbox complete with some tips and tricks specific to MS Outlook 2007. Therefore, does anyone have any suggestions of books/websites/etc that I should look at in order to find these tips and tricks? Or maybe you know of some that you would like to share. For example, I know there's a way to set up a message to "expire" but I'm not sure the best way to take advantage of this function.
Thanks in advance,
