Since "God is in the details" as he is said to have said: do you know whether they searched the N.Y. or Paris edition? UCLA has both editions (on microfilm) and I'm happy to search the edition that was not yet been consulted.

Subject: Help! Mies van der Rohe article

Hello,

I am fairly new to this list and need to consult your collective wisdom. We are having great difficulty finding the brief essay by Mies van der Rohe, "On Restraint in Design" - New York Herald Tribune - June 28, 1959. The library who handled our interlibrary request was unable to find it on the microfilm so they sent it to our interlibrary unit and they also did not find it. I have also done some searching to see if it appears in some anthology, but have had no luck yet. I would be most grateful if any of you could help me to find of a copy of this.

Any clues, advice, or the article itself would be greatly appreciated.
