A new issue of The Journal of Library Services for Distance Education has
been published, and is available at:

We are also soliciting manuscripts for publication in the next issue,
which is scheduled for November 1999.  Regular articles in the journal are
peer-reviewed, but there is also a new, more informal section of JLSDE
entitled "Reports From the Field," --for practical, succinct descriptions
of programs which might serve as models or sources of ideas for current
practioners and/or those who are just beginning to offer services to
distance education students.  See the ABOUT JLSDE section of the journal
for information on submitting manuscripts.
