My opinion - is because the ICRM does not pay ARMA to advertise on their web site.

Maybe they will reply to your letter and let you know why they did not
mention ARMA or ICRM. Could be very insightful. Kind of like why is it so
difficult to find ICRM information on the ARMA HQ website?

FYI for those of you that read this article at
http://www.dsi-enews.net/e-bin/enews.asp?id=8812201:
This is a good article, and I am glad that the companies cited presented
some good insights into the challenges of RIM and Managing Electronic
Records. But I was astounded that there was no mention of ARMA International
or the ICRM. So I sent the editors this message:
"As a Records Management/Technology Consultant, a subscriber to Transform
Magazine, and a person that worked with Cohasset Associates a few years ago,
I most enjoyed your recent article in the March 2002 issue on "Records
Management: The Digital Dilemma". However, the issue of Managing Electronic
Records transcends the perspectives of the few organizations cited in the
article, as this growing organizational challenge must be addressed by both
knowledgeable professionals and executive management that will support
cultural change within an organization. In future articles that present
solutions to these challenges, you might want to refer readers for reference
purposes to the web sites of ARMA International (www.arma.org) and the
Institute of Certified Records Managers (www.icrm.org). Both of these
professional organizations offer additional contacts and informational
resources that are of use in embracing the concept of Managing Electronic
Records.

Maybe they will include some reference to ARMA/ICRM next time!
