Content-Type: text/html Dana Kerstein, Lynn Sumerson, Noelle Zukas, Barbara Lanier and I birded the north half of Three Rooker Island (3 miles offshore of Pinellas Co.) this morning. Extremely high tide had flooded across the southern end of the island and all the way across the narrow center portion of the island. Partly cloudy and strong (maybe 15 mph) east wind. A beautiful Buff-breasted Sandpiper was seen near the center of the island foraging in the sand between and among grass "clumps".
