Would the members Of GARC that expressed a desire to
participate the Cedar Key Lighthouse operation at the
last meeting, for the weekend of Aug 16, please
confirm with me if you still wish to join the
activation of the Lighthouse.
Any members of GARC that would like to participate,
please send me an email. Slots will be filled on a
first come, first serve basis, after members of Garc
that where present at the meeting when this was
discussed
Gars has agreed to underwrite the QSL expense and act
as the QSL manger for this activity. They will handle
all the QSLing as required. There are still some
expenses associated with this activity, which I
estimate to be about 30-40 bucks a head. This is to
cover the expenses with running the marine lab
generators, boat rentals and so forth.
I need firm commitments, as this effects the final
cost accessed to each participant. The more that
attend, the lower the cost
This is a great opportunity to operate as a mini
Dxpedition. Techcian class license holders will have
the opportunity to operate on the HF bands, and
experience a totally different mode or style of ham
radio. As a rare Iota, and Lighthouse, you can
experience the Piles ups you may have read about in
QST.

Hope to hear from you
