Subject: Fw: The hours
Dear Claire Hershman and Ryan Wells,
thanks for you comments. I have seen "21 grams" as well and liked the film
(more than "Amorres Peros") although the interweaving of the plots there
seemed a little bit too complicated. On the contrary, the interweaving of
the stories in "The Hours" have been given to a spectator on a silver plate
(repeating motives connecting the stories of Woolf, Clarrisa and Laura - not
only at the beginning). The Hours have been projected on the gay and lesbian
festival in the Czech Republic and I suppose that mainly women have been
touched by the film. Why? Is it because spheres of our unconscious are
touched by the feeling of regret and unfulfilled wishes so much present in
the film and as Ryan Wells wrote so beautifully spun through the film?
