Content-Type: text/html A series of Workshops on Teaching with Technology sponsored by the UF Teaching Center and the UF Graduate School has been scheduled for spring semester and are listed on the Teaching Center web site. These hands-on, two-hour workshops cover a variety of topics from using PowerPoint to enhance learning to using WebCT Vista to manage blended or online courses. A certificate will be awarded for participation in at least six of the workshops. Also available spring term is an online course on the use of WebCT Vista. This course will require approximately 30 hours and participants who complete the course will have practiced every aspect of the Vista online course management system. The time frame for completion of this self-paced course is mid-January through mid-March. UF does plan to upgrade its software to WebCT Vista IV during summer term so persons who do not need to use Vista before next fall may want to wait to complete this course until fall. We decided to offer the course now, in spite of the future upgrade, to serve those TAs who need to use this course management system now or who will graduate and may not have another opportunity to receive this training.
