Content-Type: text/html Enough! -----Original Message----- From: Records Management Program [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Gary Grieme Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2007 11:39 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Records Management under IT - Yes or No? It still sounds condescending, the idea that most of us could not understand the full complexity of IT issues. I could name quite a few records managers on this list that could step in and successfully run their organization's IT group. The thing about "the full complexity of IT issues" is that the IT area is changing so fast, the IT specialists can't keep up. Most of them would not admit that, but they are overwhelmed. IT hardware and software are only tools. IT groups work best when they're headed up by people who can manage people, manage change, and manage business processes. Sounds like some records managers I know. -- Gary Grieme Records Manager List archives at http://lists.ufl.edu/archives/recmgmt-l.html Contact [log in to unmask] for assistance To unsubscribe from this list, click the below link.
