Hi,

In Bijan Dehgan's book Landscape Plants for Subtropical Climates (University Press of Florida, 1998), he states that Trachelospermum asiaticum is "often mislabeled and sold as T. jasminoides 'Nana', 'Minima', or 'Microphylla'. Other available cultivars include 'Mini Mound' and 'Variegation'."

You might want to ask the grower to trace his source for the plants (plugs or cuttings) back to whoever he got them from and ask the questions about this "cultivar" and it's registration.
EH faculty,

I've had a grower ask me about the groundcover confederate jasmine 'minima' or maybe Asian jasmine 'minima'. He has an issue with a 'minima' reverting to a larger leaf variety. Do you know where I might find info on this cultivar and its origins? I have looked in Dir's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants and Hortus 3rd., but my editions are about 15 years old with no reference to 'minima'. Online I get dubious leads and no .edu source.
