Happy Friday BESTSers,
A Dutch company, Ingregro, plans on using digester effluent
to produce algae for jet fuel. One of the sources for the
anaerobic digestion is waste from the potato industry.
Biogas-algae integration produces two types of bioenergy fuel:
liquid and gaseous. It also makes both processes more economical.
By using food waste as a nutrient and energy source for algae and
biogas, it is a win-win-win-win.... situation. This is truly the
future of food waste anaerobic digestion.
