Hello BEST subscribers,

There is a new weapon in the fight against food waste: an app called 
leftoverswap. It is a simple social networking app that helps connect 
people with extra food with people seeking food. There are some obvious 
health and legal questions about the app and the are addressed in this 
article.

One point I though about that was not addressed in the article was that 
the people who need the leftovers the most probably do not have 
smartphones. Maybe food banks will use this app to get more food from 
the community.
