Good Evening BESTSers,
A company in Spain, AZTI-Tecnalia, have built a new
anaerobic digestion plant run on agricultural food waste,
including waste from markets, aquaculture wastes. There are so
many sources of food waste that the possibilities of food waste
digestion are almost endless, restaurants, grocery stores,
schools, prisons, homes, etc. AZTI-Tecnalia is also looking to
obtain hydrogen fuel from the waste to get two fuels (methane and
hydrogen) from one source. These developments are encouraging to
see that food waste digestion is being adopted throughout the
world.
