RE: January 13, 2012: Jefferson Science Fellowship Application Deadline
The Jefferson Science Fellowship is now accepting applications.
This fellowship is open to U.S. citizens who are tenured or similarly ranked academic scientists, engineers and physicians from U.S. institutions of higher learning.
Its objective is to engage America's academic science, technology, engineering and medical communities in the design and implementation of U.S. foreign policy.
Fellows spend one year at the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Agency for International Development for an on-site assignment in Washington, D.C. that may also involve stays in U.S. foreign embassies or missions.
The application deadline is Friday, January 13, 2012. Awardees will be notified in March 2012. They must report to the State Department on August 15, 2012.
