The UF Bob Graham Center is accepting resumes from graduate students for two available assistantship positions:
Communications: The role of the graduate assistant will largely be to help promote public events and initiatives through social media channels, an electronic newsletter and the graham center website. Familiarity with social media and websites are a must. HTML knowledge is not required. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail. The graduate assistant will coordinate with external consultants to facilitate video editing and will work closely with the communication director on the center's Great Civil Debate Wall project. Academic Programs: The role of the graduate assistant will be to help with a large undergraduate research project having to do with poverty or biological warfare. Additional assignments will include assisting the citizenship coordinator with the development of surveys, case studies and the visiting scholars program. Student must have very strong writing skills and also familiarity with social science research methodology. Compensation: Graduate assistants will work 20 hours/week for a nine-month salary of $12,000. Includes tuition waiver for 9 credit hours/semester and health insurance.
